Annoyed

Today I sat at my computer screen for 8 hours. I worked and got ahead in one of my classes and I started working on a major project for my lit block class. The last assignment I started, I emailed to my professor to make sure I was on the right track and it was gone. All of my lesson plan was deleted and blank. I was so annoyed at my computer and myself for not checking to make sure it was saving properly! Oh well, try again tomorrow I guess!

Homework

Remote learning is tough! I have taken tons of online classes, but for some reason this feels so much harder! I am ready to get back to school and in a classroom!  I spent FOUR hours today doing homework so I didn’t have to stay up until midnight doing it, and I have a calendar and I have paced it all out nicely. A minimum of 4 hours a day is a lot when you have other responsibilities as well! I’m doing my best to keep my school work in order and my Ginny smiling! I miss the support of my classmates!

I miss my tribe. Everyone has heard it, it takes a village to raise a child. Well, not only am I blessed by my family who supports me in every way they can, I have a great group of friends. 2 of my very best friends had babies within 7 weeks of Ginny, she is the youngest. Allie and Kelsee both have 5 year old children as well, but unexpectedly we all got pregnant in 2017. That was honestly one of the best things that has ever happened to me. We went through our pregnancies together, we all started back to college together and when nobody was sleeping at 3 am we had each other to lean on. Obviously, I still talk to them everyday and we FaceTime, but I miss them. I saw them 2 times a week and now nothing. I hate it. Then there is Annie. Annie's mom, Tandy and my mom were best friends. Tandy was in the room when I was born, and I was there when Annie was born. Annie moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech, and finally she is back home! We have been able to spend lots of time

Today my work out was a little harder than it has been, my motivation wasn't there at 7 am. Until, I checked my watch and my sister in law had invited me to a 7 day work out challenge that started today. Well, I can't let her win without even trying! I did my workout and I felt great, then my friend text me. She sent me a link to a bible study app and everything was on sale for $5. So what did I do? I bought a bible study program and I joined a group.  If there is anything this quarantine as taught me it is that I need friends to hold me accountable. Zooming with my peers and working on our classwork as made me do something productive everyday, multiple times a day. Paying for Beach Body on Demand has made me find the energy to do it everyday, and now I am even more motivated to beat Kendall. There is light in the darkness, I just had to look for it! Also, HEB just called to tell me that my pick-up order is delayed by one hour, which is great because I was going to have t

We had so much fun today I haven’t even sat down until now. We played and laughed, we painted and danced. Goodnight world!

Today was a long day, a good day, but a long one. Staying home all day every day is so weird. I always considered myself a homebody, but 11 days in and I wish I was anywhere else. Today consisted mostly of Ginny trying to find her voice and learning to count to 10. We ate some yogurt popsicles, we took a midday bath, we colored with chalk outside, oh and we fought for 10 minutes about who the laptop belonged to. I am exhausted. Check out this picture to see who won our battle.

Productive

So we did it! My husband and I woke up at 5:30 this morning and did the 3rd day of the 21 day work our program! It was actually way easier than I imagined as I was lying in bed this morning! It focused on your upper body which was a nice break for my legs. After we finished the trainer said “alright let’s do this, a bonus 10 minute app workout!” I almost cried but i pushed through the best I could. After we finished our workout, I washed some dishes, finished a school project and put away the mountain of laundry I have been avoiding. When Ginny woke up  we ran to the grocery to get our pick up order and we came home! We made read books, we played and we danced all morning.  When Ginny went down for her nap I went through all of her clothes and organized them to make sure current fitting items where up front. Next, I joined in on a zoom meeting with my literacy methods class. I miss my classmates and my professor so much. Ginny woke up right as the call was ending, perfect timing! She a
